Becca Stabno – President president@summittheatre.org

Becca is in her third year as STG president. Theatre is truly her passion, and she is thrilled to be part of the STG board through all of the exciting changes we have recently made. She has been involved in over 40 local theatre productions, many at STG: acting on stage, as a music director, and as an accompanist. She plays piano at PLMS for Black and Gold Choir, and for the musicals at LSW, and she enjoys teaching a fitness class for STG Studio. Becca and her husband Andreas have three children: Abbie, Emma, and Sammie, and have lived in the Lee’s Summit community for 23 years.

Stan Cole – Vice President – vicepresident@summittheatre.org

Stan is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the Blue Springs South High School Air Force Junior ROTC Program, a position he has held since retiring from the USAF as a Colonel in 2014. Originally from Kansas City, he graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1992 and served as an Intelligence Officer for 22 years. Stan received the 2017 Outstanding Instructor Award as the #1 JROTC instructor in the nation out of over 1,800 of his peers. He has been involved with Summit Theatre Group since 2018, recently directing STG’s Ordinary Days and appearing in seven STG shows including favorites such as Next to Normal (Dan) and Beauty and the Beast (Beast.) The next role for Stan is small business owner, as he is preparing to open the KC metro’s first Roosters Men’s Grooming Center franchise in Parkville, MO near the end of 2020.

Brad Rackers – Treasurer & Season Selection Chair treasurer@summittheatre.org

Brad has served as the theatre instructor and director at Lee’s Summit West High School for the past 10 years and has been teaching theatre for the past 16 years. Brad also serves as the Steering Committee Chair for the Kansas City Cappies, the Treasurer for the Missouri Thespians, and the Director of Electronic Communications for the Speech and Theatre Association of Missouri. He is also a founding member of STG Studio, the educational arm of Summit Theatre Group. Most recently he directed Summit Theatre Group’s production of Into the Woods. Brad holds a BSE in speech and theatre education from Missouri State University and an MA from Baker University in education.   

Kenny Taylor – Secretary & Special Events Chair kenny@summittheatre.org

Kenny participates in many roles onstage and backstage with Summit Theatre Group and other local theatre organizations as well as teaches technical theatre for STG Studio. He grew up here in Lee’s Summit and now teaches middle school broadcasting and video technology in LSR7 where he also directs or tech directs several shows each year. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Central Missouri and a masters from Baker University.

Ginger Birch – Costumes and Props Coordinator

Ginger Birch is a Lee’s Summit native and former company manager for Summit Theatre Group. She now focuses on teaching classes & camps through STG Studio and instructing private voice and piano through her home studio, Studio Chyrée, with students ranging in ages from elementary age to adults. Ginger holds a B.S. Vocal Music and M.S. Vocal Performance & Conducting. She has many years of teaching experience working with various age groups in educational settings whether it be with children’s choirs, church organizations, schools, non-profit organizations, or theatre groups. Her favorite directing experiences have been Beauty and the Beast, Shrek, Holiday dinner theatres, Descendants, and Little Mermaid Jr. Ginger is also an avid performer in the KC Metro area with experience in opera, recitals, choral groups, and musical theatre. Some of her favorite roles on stage have been in Sweeney Todd, Le Nozze di Firgaro, The Sound of Music, Almost, Maine, Pirates of Penzance, Annie, The Secret Garden, The Gifts of the Magi, and Silent Sky.

Carrie Brigham

Carrie is an Accounts Receivable Manager for Incite International. While she’s always loved live theatre, it went to another level when her two youngest kids were in theatre in high school. After being involved with the parent board for 5 years, she is excited to be a part of Summit Theatre Group and bring quality theatre and educational opportunities to enthusiasts of all ages.

Rachael Dameron

Rachael is a seasoned healthcare professional and graduate of the UMKC Bloch Executive MBA program with more than 25 years of experience at Children’s Mercy; where she helps teams develop safe, efficient, and reliable systems. She is a parent of two young thespians that regularly participate in STG performance camps and classes. It is through her children’s theatre experiences that she has come to understand the importance of performing arts for our children and community.

Jeff Duncan

Jeff pays the bills by working for a large financial corporation.  His official title is Process Analyst – but don’t ask him to explain – (it’s a long and complicated story.)  When Jeff isn’t attending conference calls and responding to emails – He loves to perform.  Jeff has been on the STG stage in several main stage shows, and has also participated in several other productions with STG.  You may have seen Jeff singing if you have attended Handel’s Messiah or the KC Symphony Christmas Festival at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, as he sings with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. Jeff also spent 20 years as a principal soloist, and performer with the Heart of America Christmas Pageant at First Baptist Church of Raytown, where he still sings in the “now” Connection Point Choir. Jeff has lived with his family in Lee’s Summit for the past 20 years.

Pam Hatcher – Member at Large

Pam has been working in real estate for over 30 years. In 2018, she opened her own brokerage firm Integrity Group Real Estate with the belief that integrity and honesty should be paramount in all aspects of the business. Pam was previously the Director of Technical Real Estate with CBRE with 26 years experience in contract negotiation and construction and property management. Pam and her husband Tom lived in Lee’s Summit for over 30 years. They have two adult children that graduated from the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District.

Laura Heath – STG Studio Chair – stgstudio@summittheatre.org

Laura has been an elementary school teacher for 16 years and is currently employed by the LSR7 School District. She was born and raised in the Kansas City area and has lived in Lee’s Summit for the past 26 years. She received her B.A. in Education from UMKC and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Baker University. Laura is an active community member with a strong passion for arts education. She served as President of the Lee’s Summit West Theatre Parent Board and worked towards enhancing the theatre experience for the students and the community.

Brittany Hill

Brittany is a college professor and performer from the KCMO area. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance. Brittany teaches several forms of art through her private voice and piano studio, Calvary University, Donna’s Dance, and through STG Studio. She has performed in shows on stage with Leawood Stage Company, Summit Theatre Group, Kansas City Kansas Community College, City Theatre of Independence and Calvary University..to name a few. Her technical resume includes directing, choreographing, sound technician, quick change artist and dresser, designer for hair, makeup and costuming.

Julie McDaniel

Julie has performed in the Kansas City area for over 40 years. Some of her favorite roles include HELLO DOLLY! (Dolly Levi) MAME (Mame) GYPSY (Mamma Rose) CATS (Grizabella) and STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Quiser Boudreaux). When not on stage, Julie follows her deep, deep passion for directing.  Julie has been honored to direct for many theatre groups in the Kansas City area for over 20 years.  Some of her favorite musicals include THE WIZARD OF OZ, ANNIE, PAJAMA GAME, OKLAHOMA, THE 1940 RADIO HOUR and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.  Recently, THE GOLDEN YEARS OF BROADWAY for Summit Theatre Group. Stage Play favorites include CRIMES OF THE HEART and OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS.

Julie has worked in healthcare for over 40 years and is employed by Saint Mary’s Prime Health Care and works primarily for Oak Grove Medical Clinic as a Medical Assistant.

Elizabeth Ravasini – Student Board Member

Elizabeth is a senior at Lee’s Summit North High School where she is very involved in theatre, choir, band, symphony orchestra, and National Honor Society. Elizabeth has been in nearly 40 shows over the last eight years and participated in her first Summit Theatre Group show in 2016. Along with being on stage, she has experience in lighting design and board operation. In her occasional free time, Elizabeth likes to watch movies and hang out with friends.

Alecia Stultz

Alecia has performed in Kansas City community theater for 30 years. Some of her favorite roles include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Nunsense/Nuncrackers (Str. Robert Ann), Company (Susan), and Blood Brothers (Mrs. Lyons). In 2018 she found herself cast at Diana in the STG production of Next to Normal, and the rest is history. Since then, she has volunteered, performed in various Cabarets, and checked off another bucket list role portraying Donna in the STG production of Mamma Mia. Alecia spends her days as a Customer Service/Management Consultant and chief cupcake maker with her company Symphonies Custom Cupcakes. She resides in Olathe, KS with her extremely supportive and encouraging husband Richard and sons Xander and Kade who share her love of theater both on stage and behind the scenes.

Brittany VanMaele

Brittany is thrilled to be joining the board of Summit Theatre Group! Though her day job is in social media marketing, her passion has always been in the arts, particularly creative writing, singing, acting and enjoying live theatre. Having grown up in a family of performers, it’s no surprise! After a long hiatus from performing, she made her STG debut as Billy in STG’s fall 2023 production of The Play That Goes Wrong. She also has the pleasure of watching her own kids, Haley and Olivia, perform in productions through STG Studio! Brittany is thankful for the enriching opportunities STG and STG Studio provide for Lee’s Summit and its citizens of all ages.

Kim Williams

Kim is a senior living adviser at A Place for Mom where she spends her days helping families find the perfect solution for their loved one. Kim fell in love with theatre in high school, but the passion grew while living in England where London’s West End was just a quick train ride away.
She is the proud mother of 2 former LSR7 students that were very involved in theatre and music. Her youngest was a regular participant in STG’s performance camps. He is now pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre.

Kim is also a board member of Kantorei KC. She is passionate about students being given every opportunity to pursue their passions and how important the arts are to our school aged kids and our community.

Kim and her husband Bryant moved to Lee’s Summit 19 years ago and are now adjusting to their new “empty-nesting” lifestyle.
