About the Workshop:

Spring & Summer Audition Season across the KC Metro area is just around the corner. It’s time to brush off those song books and monologues to prepare for the productions and roles which you’ve been dreaming!

Spend your Saturday morning with instructors: Brad Rackers, Becca Stabno, and Ginger Birch as they offer you the opportunity to enhance your audition technique and skills. This workshop is for any experience-level performer – even those who have been off the stage for years or just starting!

You will have the opportunity to learn by doing as well as spending time with instructors as they share with you their tips and tricks from the perspective of the directors. You can expect to spend time in interactive sessions related to the following areas:

Acting – Cold Readings & Characterization
Vocal – Vocal Range, Song Choice for Show, Warm ups & Vocal Prep/Health
Song Repertoire – Search for Songs, Repertoire for Auditions
Working with an Accompanist

Those attending should bring a Broadway song for review (as if you were planning an audition) as well as any other song books or sheet music you may have.
